DiaTrak provides you with a fully-searchable nutritional
database so that you can track your food intake and maintain a healthy diet!
Source of Data
DiaTrak has collaborated with the United States Department
of Agriculture (USDA) to bring you the nutritional values
available here. Over 10,000 foods and serving sizes are available
for your search. The values provided are based on the USDA Nutrient Database
for Standard Reference, Release 15. If there are measurements that
you would like to see added to this list, please send email to
the webmaster address shown at the lower left
and we will contact the USDA in an effort to bring these values to you.
Search Tips
The foods listed in this reference are from the abbreviated food names
used by the USDA. If your initial search for something doesn't work,
try using just the first few letters of the item, or use an abbreviated
form. For instance, if your search for "peanut" doesn't find what you're looking
for, try searching for "pnut".
Food Name Contains
This searching mode allows you to find all foods that have a word or
combination of characters anywhere in the food description. For
instance, searching for "ripe" will return listings like "olives, ripe",
"bass, striped", "beef tripe", etc. Results will be grouped by
USDA-identified food categories.
When searching for terms, you must use at least four characters.
If your search term has less than four characters, DiaTrak will
return an alphabetized list similar to using the "List All Starting With"
searching mode.
List All Starting With
This searching mode allows you retrieve an alphabetized list of the
first 25 foods that are alphabetically after the search value you
specify. For example, if you list all starting with "rye", you'll get
items from "rye flour, dark" through "salad drsng,french,comm,reg,w/salt"
with a "more" button to continue from the last listing shown.
Brand Names
Several brand names have been observed in the list. Some of
